The Education Ministry has released the National Achievement Survey.
The Ministry of Education conducted the National Achievement Survey 2021, which included 34 lakh students from 1.18 lakh schools in 720 districts from both rural and urban locations.
National Achievement Survey (NAS) report was released on May 25, 2022, by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education. The objective of NAS 2021 is to evaluate children’s progress and learning competencies as an indicator of the efficiency of the education system, so as to take appropriate steps for remedial actions at different levels.
It will support state/UT administrations in developing long-term, mid-term, and short-term initiatives to improve learning levels and orient on differential planning based on NAS 2021 data.
NAS 2021 was attended by around 34 lakh children from 1.18 lakh schools in 720 districts from both rural and urban places. Comprehensive three-year cycle evaluation survey of children’s learning competencies in Classes 3, 5, 8, and 10.
NCERT produced and translated the achievement exams, as well as the questionnaires (student questionnaire, teacher questionnaire, and school questionnaire), into 22 different languages.
CBSE conducted this nationwide poll on a single day at the same time.
The National Informatics Centre planned and constructed a technology platform to manage the survey (NIC).
