Music for Primary Classes
Music has been a vital part of our everyday life for decades. Various studies have been found that engagement with music can lead to an improvement in brain development in children. Musical training helps develop language and reasoning. Also students learn to improve their work as music promotes craftsmanship,just like playing sports,children can develop motor skills when playing music.
It is well recognised that music can help to develop the attitudes and attributes that can support learning in other national curriculum subjects.this includes listening skills,
the ability to concentrate, creativity,intuitions, aesthetic sensitivity, perseverance, the ability to work in group, self confidence and sensitivity towards others.
According to “Mozart Effect” it has been found in the study that students performed remarkably better in reasoning tests as it helps children to develop the ability to think in patterns and pictures. They understand concepts such as left and right, to balance and to avoid bumping into things. Later,it helps with more complex skills such as reading and understanding maps and graphs.
Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self expression as it helps strengthen memory skills.

Music allows students to try something new and develop confidence as they master singing or playing instrument.
Music is a way to connect with others by creating a Junior School Band or encouraging participation in chorus will allow children to work together such as for annual events etc. This encourages bonding and will provide students with something to reminisce on together in future.
It integrates many different subjects that is why another reason why music is so important is that it only allows children to develop their musical skills but it gives them the oppurtunity to work on their math skill,reading and writing skils, Science skills etc. For example : Time signatures in music are an excellent way to incorporate fractions. If teachers are concerned about their students to incorporate them into a music class with ease.
It also teaches children to develop time management and discipline. If students are expected to learn instrument playing, then they will develop the ability to create a practice schedule and balance every other activity going in their lives.This way learning discipline and time management from a young age will have countless benefits on a child’s future.
Last but not the least, music is an excellent way to relieve stress which is significant for students who may feel overwhelmed by school work and try to balance extra curricular acivities.
Another aspect to incorporate Music Games for Kids of Primary Classes is that it actually accelerates brain development including intellectual, social- emotional, motor, language and over all literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together for kids of all ages in various ways :
Toddlers and Music – Toddlers love to dance and move to music. The key to toddler music is repetition, which encourages language and memorization. Silly songs make toddlers laugh. Try singing a familiar song and inserting a silly word in the place of the correct word, like ” Mary had a little spider” instead of lamb. Let children reproduce rythms by clapping or tapping objects.
Preschoolers and Music : Preschoolers enjoy singing just to be singing. They aren’t self-conscious about their ability and most are eager to let their voices roar. They like songs that repeat words and melodies, use rythms with adefinite beat, and ask them to do things. preschool children enjoy nursery rhymes and songs about familiar things like toys, animals, play activities and people. They also like finger plays and non sense rhymes.
School-Age Children and Music- Most young school-age children are intrigued by kids sing along songs that involve counting, spelling or remembering a sequence of events.
Hence, schools must must go for Blendid Learning in order to shape young minds in time to come. Also schools must pave the way for young and creative minds to innovative transformation as per New Education Policy 2020 in order to create a long lasting learning experience for young learners.
