Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Noshank, The Union Education Minister E-inaugurated 4 newly constructed buildings of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Rajasthan, Odisha, and Haryana today.
These buildings are equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, computer laboratories, library, sports, and music spaces. They abide by the Green Building Standards and also entail a provision for rainwater harvesting to ensure maximum water conservation. Further, these buildings are constructed barrier-free for easy access to CWSN, while also maintaining ample space for Sports and Physical Activities to encourage all students towards fitness.
During the event, Union Education Minister pointed out that since the establishment of KVs in 1963, the organization has become a leading and exemplary institution of educational services. He also mentioned that even during the challenging time of the lockdown, KV’s held classes through the digital medium on portals like NIOS and Swayam Prabha.
Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank requested the Minister of each State to provide land for the remaining KV currently on temporary area, so they can reach even more students across all regions. He further mentioned the responsibility of institutions like KV in the successful implementation of the NEP 2020.
