Uttar Pradesh Government Schools For Underprivileged To Get TCS Training In Computation Thinking

LUCKNOW: Tata Consultancy Services, a leader in information technology, will provide computational and logical thinking training to instructors and students at 105 Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya and Eklavya Schools managed by the Uttar Pradesh government’s social welfare department. According to a government release, TCS and the social welfare department on Tuesday signed a contract for 18 months in the presence of Minister of State (Independent charge) Asim Arum. The business, as part of its go-IT and Ignite My Future programmes.

In an effort to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), it was stated that the International Bebras Computing Challenge will teach the pupils of the Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Schools and Eklavya Residential Schools logical and computational thinking. These 35,000 student schools, which are run by the social welfare department of Uttar Pradesh, offer residential housing and work to give a high standard of education to kids from the state’s poor communities and tribal areas.

According to the statement, the International Bebras Computing Challenge will teach children at the Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Schools and Eklavya Residential Schools computational and logical reasoning as a step toward Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These schools, which have 35,000 students and are run by the social welfare department of Uttar Pradesh, offer residential housing and work to provide impoverished and tribal students in the state with high-quality education.

In addition to preparing them through the international training programme Bebras Computing Challenge, students will be taught design and logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and generating codes under the company’s go-IT programme. According to the statement, the programmes are created so that students can successfully complete courses like JEE-NEET and evaluate themselves according to international standards. The event was attended by Minister Asim Arun, Secretary Sameer Verma, TCS CSR national head Sunil Joseph, centre heads Amitabh Tiwari, and Ravi Kohli.
