New Delhi: On April 10, 2024, four students from Ramjas International School from classes 9th and 10th, visited the India International Centre for a workshop cum exhibition commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Rwanda Genocide in 1994 against the Tutsis.
The event commenced with an art exhibition showcasing artwork on the theme of the Rwanda Genocide created by students. Following this, there was an interactive session with Ambassador Jacqueline Mukangira from the High Commission of Rwanda. Mr. Darrin Farrant, the Director of the UN Information Centre, delivered the opening speech. Subsequently, the students presented a captivating skit and performed the song “Mwakire Indobo.” A significant part of the event was the screening of the movie “100 Days,” which depicted the harrowing events of the genocide against the Tutsi community.
